In the five volumes that make up "Book Series" are shown the direct helps and the spiritual guidance from the Light granted to mankind in the course of their history.

The content of these books is no story in the usual sense. Rather the proximity of Abd-ru-shin enabled a few human beings who were open for it to see former happenings, and to make them visible to posterity by recording them.

For the reader's understanding it should be explained that the way of assimilating this long-lost time did not take the form of recording inspired words. Instead, the happening manifested in pictures which the seer rendered with his own eloquence and according to his understanding. The pictures appeared before his inner eye, not before his physical eye; they portrayed happenings in finer Worlds of Matter. The reader of the Work "In the Light of Truth" The Grail Message by Abd-ru-shin will be familiar with the different planes of which our Creation consists.

Therefore events described in this book render not just the earthly happenings. Also the beings that appear - whether of a human or other nature - may in doing so manifest in forms of another material plane. It was left to the seer to clothe pictures in words.

May the Forerunners enable the reader to recognise that in every age human beings were granted help from the Light to find the way to the Truth.

Abd-ru-shin writes about this:

“If in the course of thousands of years men had not always acted as they still do today, if they had not time and again distorted everything that was intended to help them, in order to adapt it to their human way of thinking and their earthly desires, there would now be only one uniform teaching here on earth, issuing from the Will of God. There would not be so many kinds of denominations.

“All the teachings that have come to earth in the past would, united, form a single flight of steps to the pedestal on which the Truth is to stand, as it has so often been proclaimed to mankind in various promises.

“There would be no difference in the interpretations, much less differences in the teachings themselves!

“For all teachings were at one time willed by God, precisely adapted to the individual peoples and countries, and formed in complete accord with their actual spiritual maturity and receptivity.

“…The bringers of all the individual teachings were Forerunners of the Word of Truth Itself.”
